Since Japan’s modern Steel Industry operation commenced In 1901 in Kitakyushu, Japan became

the world’s leading industrialized country in only 100 years.

In this Field trip, let’s learn how Japan has become the world’s most industrialized country.

The IUJ campus has an extremely diverse student body, with students from all over the 
world. In any given academic year there are students from about 50 countries

水俣病が未来に伝えること
1932年にチッソ水俣工場が操業を開始、その時からメチル水銀を含んだ工場排水が海に流れだした

そして魚や貝類に毒物が入り、それを食べた動物や人間の体に異変が起き始める(食物連鎖)
しかし、当初その異変は、ある特定の地域の伝染病などと考えられていた。
そして、水俣病が公式に発見されたのが、なんと操業開始から24年後の1956年のことである。
更に問題は、公式発表されても、工場のはなんの改善アクションに打たれずに、操業続け、
工場の操業を停止し、毒物排出が無くなったのは、1968年のことであった。
それは、毒物を流し始めてから26年後、水俣病が公式に発見されてから12年後のことで
あまりにも遅すぎる対応。

その状況を北九州の公害克服の対応と比べると、企業、行政の対応が全く異なる

なぜこんな状況になったのかを学び、今でも患者の方々は苦しまれていることを
肌で触れ、更に今でも裁判に頼らなけれならない状況を知って、色んなことを
考えさせられたツアーでした。

今でも苦しんでおられる人達を、可及的速やかに救済し、二度とこんなことが起こらないように
しなければならないと痛感しました。

国際大学の研修ツアーを実施しました

 
3日間の宮島・広島・呉の研修旅行

参加者:アジア各国からの経済を学ぶ留学生
出身国(10ヶ国):台湾、タイ、バングラディッシュ、ラオス、ウズベキスタン、ミャンマー
            フィリピン、ブータン、カンボジア、ベトナム

研修のテーマ:「どのようにして世界一のスピードで産業近代化を成し遂げたのか

 

今回一番苦労したところ、戦争と原爆のことを言及する必要があること。
日本は、原爆の被害者であるが、今回参加した人達の国に対しては加害者でもある。
このことに触れなければ、日本の近代化は語れない。
冒頭に日本人として戦争加害の謝罪と状況説明から始め、富国強兵で産業近代化を行い原爆までを紹介し、
戦争と核の悲惨さを共有することができた。

それから、様々な事柄を3日間で学んでもらいました。
 ・なぜ、どのようにして、日本人が世界一のスピードで近代化を成し遂げたのか。
 ・戦争と近代化がどのような関にわりがあったのか。
 ・なぜ、広島と長崎に原爆が落とされたのか。
 ・どのようにして、戦後復興を行ったのか。

 ・宗教と急速な近代化の関連性

   


そして最後に導き出した「急速な近代化」の答えは集団の和を持って事を進める日本人

 

研修ツアーの結果は、皆さんの清々しい笑顔。
