今日は天気が良かったので、久しぶりに河内貯水池を散策しました。   河内貯水池は、八幡製鐵所の第三次拡張工事での水源地拡張対策の一環として 1919年（大正8年）に竣工し、8年の歳月をかけて、延90万人の人々の手で1927年 （昭和2年）に完成しました。 河内貯水池は近代化産業遺産としての価値だけでなく、北九州国定公園の自然と調和した、 心和む場所です。                         2020年6月7日

It is beautiful day today. The temperature is like early summer and is 28 degree Celsius. I walk around Kawachi Reservoir.             Kawachi Resevoir is the first-class civil construction heritage completed in 1927, the triggered the registration of World Cultural Heritage of Sites of Japan’s Meiji Industrial Revolution.   The Reservoir was constructed for the industrial water supply to Yawata Steel Works. The dam was constructed at the Okura River and upper stream of the dam was expanded and  making the 7milion cubic metre reservoir.   June 07, 2020
