We definitely enjoyed our trip even though some of us had to work very hard to conquer the steps up & down especially for the Udo Shrine & Mt Tsurumi.  These are our own physical limitations.  Kyushu is a beautiful island with the mountains, volcanoes, calderas, gorges, hot springs and lush greenery everywhere (some autumnal colors too). Our guide, Fumiko worked very closely with the bus driver, Sato to plan for suitable rest stops on the longer drives & we appreciate their thoughtfulness.  Sato was a very safe and careful driver and we appreciate his skillfulness and care.  Fumiko is tirelessly making sure all the arrangements for our next stops are in order and if there is problem she tries very positively to overcome the difficulty.  She talked to every shuttle bus driver/taxi driver at the base of Takachiho Gorge to try and get us a ride up to the bus …
