Kumamoto Castle reopened to the public today, August 13.

 

Good news! Kumamoto Castle is welcoming visitors again starting today!

Following the recent earthquake safety checks, the main visitor routes and

the main castle keep are now safe and open to the public.

 

Please note that some areas and specific summer events remain suspended

for safety. We highly recommend checking the official Kumamoto Castle Website

for the latest updates before your visit.
