The wild white bore at the Shrine has function as both guardians and messengers for the deities at Shinto shrines.     It’s a white boar! A white boar was found by chance in Takarayama, where Takara Hachiman Shrine stands. They gradually grew in number, and a family of 6 lives here at present.   The boars are pretty large, and you may be taken aback at first.
