Christianity was introduced to Japan by Francis Xavier in 1549 and spread primarily
throughout the Nagasaki region. However, the Shogunate later issued a ban on
Christianity, forcing many believers to practice their faith in secret, which led to a long
history of martyrdom in various locations. Finally, in 1873, the ban was lifted, marking
the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Japanese Christianity.

Where to play golf

Where to play : Fukuoka City, Kitakyushu City, Itoshima, Dazaifu, Chikugo, Munakata.
Fukuoka Prefecture is a premier golf destination with over 60 courses, Fukuoka also
hosts many professional tournaments.
Most courses are easily accessible within 90 minutes of Fukuoka City, allowing you
to combine golf with local sightseeing.
Where to play : Beppu, Yufuin, Oita
Oita Prefecture is one of Japan’s most famous Onsen resort areas, featuring Beppu
and Yufuin. The prefecture also has around 20 golf courses, perfect for combining
sightseeing and a round of golf.
Kumamoto boasts the second-highest number of golf courses in Kyushu, with about
40 in total. Many courses are nestled within Aso-Kuju National Park, allowing players
to take in the majestic scenery of Mt. Aso during their game.
Where to play : Phoenix Seagaia Resort, Miyazaki
Miyazaki Prefecture has approximately 30 golf courses and a warm climate, allowing you
to enjoy playing golf throughout the year.
The most popular courses are Phoenix Country Club and Tom Watson Golf Course,
both located within the Phoenix Seagaia Resort where you can enjoy beautiful scenery
while playing.

experience for everyone:
・Dress Code: Please wear a jacket or blazer when entering the clubhouse.
・Prohibited Attire: T-shirts, jeans, and sandals are not permitted.
・Shirt Style: Please keep your shirt tucked into your slacks or skirt.
・Safety: For your safety, please wear a hat or cap while playing.
・Course Care: Please smooth over footprints in bunkers and repair divots and ball marks.
・Pace of Play: Please complete 9 holes within 2 hours and 15 minutes (to 2.5 hours).
・Tattoos: Guests with tattoos are not permitted to use the public baths or showers.
・Bath Area: Please wear appropriate clothing when moving between the locker room
and the bathing area.
