Showa no machi in Bungo Takada (昭和の町）

Showa no machi Showa is the era that lasted till about 30 years ago in Japanese history, Bungo Takada was the most prosperous in Kunisaki Peninsula for over 300 years from the Edo period up to 1900. Here remains various old structures and remnants of regional Japanese cities in the 60’s-when the shopping district culture was as its height.

This shopping district itself is like time travel theme park. It comes with a facility replicating some of the old residential buildings and school classrooms, as well as a museum displaying nostalgic toys from old days.
