Mount Sarakura

Mount Sarakura is the best scenic spot in Kitakyushu City.
The height of the mountain is 622 meters from sea level. At the top
you are presented with a magnificent and spectacular view of
Kitakyushu. In 10 minutes, you can reach the summit from the Cable
Car Station using the Cable car and the Slope car.

Mount Inasa

Mount Inasa is one of the best view spot in Nagasaki. A 333 meter
high mountain in close distance to JR Nagasaki Station. The summit
offers great views over the city. And also, the magnificent night views
from Mount Inasa is chosen the three Major Night View in Japan along
with Kitakyushu City and Sapporo

Nita Pass

Nita pass is one of the best scenic spot in Unzen. At any time of the
year the natural scenery of Nita Pass in Unzen is magnificent.
Azaleas, green leaves, brilliant autumnal tints of maples and silver
frost represent each season of the year.

Mount Tsurumi

Soaring 1375 metres into the sky, Mount Tsurumi is a breath taking
mountain overlooking Beppu that offers some decent hiking, rare
flora and outstanding vistas. Visitors can take a ropeway 800 metres
up and revel in being surrounded by acres of rolling greenery.

Kokura Castle Garden

Kokua Castle Garden made at the former site of Shitayashiki
(lord’s guest house) located next to Kokura Castle. This
garden consists of a Japanese garden and a daimyo yashiki
(a lord’s house), a building of the Shoin-zukuri type (a style of
Japanese domestic architecture).

Ohana and Shotoen Garden
 |
Listed on National Scenic Landmark. Built in 1697 as the villa
of the Fourth Lord Tachibana Akitora. At that time the region was
called Hanabatake (Field of flower), so the villa was named Ohana
or Flower.

Yusentei Garden
 |
The time-honored Japanese garden. The Japanese traditional Garden.
It was originally built in the 1754 for Kuroda Tsugutaka who was the
lord of Fukuoka clan. You can feel Japanese traditional cultures and
enjoy Tea Ceremony.

Suzeji-koen park
 |
Imitated the beautiful scenery of Japan. It is a refined circular garden
of Momoyama period style and represents the 53 Stations of the Tokaido
Road including Mt. Fuji. The fresh springs in the garden release clean,
cold water, which flows there from Mt. Aso via underground currents.

Sengan-en
 |
Sengan-en is the most famous garden in Kagoshima-ken, made by
Shimazu lord in the 19th century at the beautiful bay side Kinko bay.
The garden contains many historic artifact that tell of its long history.

Marine World Uminonakamichi

The aquarium focuses on the aquatic life found around Kyushu.
The main tank is a huge, seven meter deep pool filled with all
different kinds of marine life including over 120 sharks of 20
different varieties. There are also several outdoor tanks where
you can experience feeding dolphins and sea lions.

Takasaki mountain animal park
 |
An altitude of 625m located in the boundary line of Oita-city and
Beppu-city is known as a habitat of the wild Japanese monkey.
The park was opened in 1953, in which about 1700 wild Japanese
monkey are living.

Sanrio Harmoneyland
 |
A theme park dedicated to the various Sanrio characters including
Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll and My Melody. Harmonyland is located in Hiji,
Oita Prefecture, approximately a 30minutes drive from JR Beppu Station.

Huis Ten Bosch
 |
Huis Ten Bosch is a theme park in Sasebo, which recreates the
Netherlands by displaying life-sized copies of old Dutch buildings.
The name Huis Ten Bosch translates into English as “House in the
Woods/bush”.
