This is the site where a castle was originally built 600 years ago in the Nanboku-cho Period and a vantage point which offers spectacular views, including the mountains of Unzen and Aso when the weather is fine. Enjoy the magnificent views of Ariake while soaking up the romantic historical atmosphere.     Ariake Sea has a tidal range of approximately 6 meters. The notable transformation of the water’s surface into a mud flat as the tide recedes is a scene unique to Ariake Sea.         Home  Customized Private tour   Christian Pilgrimage tour Golf tour   What our Customers have to say       About us   Contact us  Terms and Conditions   Privacy Policy   Staff Blog

Takezaki crabs are available almost year around. From summer into fall the male crabs are delicious, with the females and their eggs most delicious during the autumn and winter. You could even try one of each.     You can enjoy this wide variety of crab dishes including fried crab, grilled crab, crab dumplings, crab chawanmushi (a Japanese egg custard dish), stir-fried crab, creamy crab risotto, crab gratin, and steamed crab. The crabmeat gives you sweetness with every bite. The best way to end a nice steamed crab is with “shell sake,” where you drink sake from the crab shell. You should try this with hot sake, which lets you enjoy the crab flavor more and warms your body.         Home  Customized Private tour   Christian Pilgrimage tour Golf tour   What our Customers have to say       About us   Contact us  Terms and Conditions   Privacy …

The “Floating Torii Gate” of Ouo Shrine stands on the shallow area of the ocean in Tara-cho, which has 6 meter tide difference. It changes its appearance every time you look at it, and it is a famous tourist spot.   In August, Yukino Lantern Festival will be held, the view of 500 lanterns and torii on the ocean is very romantic.         Home  Customized Private tour   Christian Pilgrimage tour Golf tour   What our Customers have to say       About us   Contact us  Terms and Conditions   Privacy Policy   Staff Blog

Hakata Ramen at Yatai

  2026/01/07
  Fukuoka travel guide

Food stalls “Yatai” is one thing to enjoy in Fukuoka. Despite a decline in recent year, there are said to be more than 160. The food stalls have all kind of food, but you have to try Hakata ramen, usually made with white soup from pork bone and thin noodles. When you order, you can specify noodle texture, such as yawa, meaning “soft”, or bari-kata, meaning  “very hard”. In local dialect bari means “very”.  Anther unique thing is kaedama.   The thin noodles takes moments to cook, so you can just order an additional noodle serving, but don’t drink too much soup before ordering more noodles. Besides ramen stalls, there are gyoza dumpling stall, Western-style bar stalls and more. It’s hard to pick out just one. The stalls have a unique and strange appeal. Eating in such cozy spaces with others creates  a friendly feel of community.
