Our family is glad the services from Shuji san in general and he is also very helpful to arrange reservation with restaurants.  Only 2 minor suggestion that Bottle of water can be prepared and ready for daily consumption for the next big family tour group. It will be easier and save time to have sufficient water for the tour group.  Some place may close early. It will be great to have the tour guide to “control” the timing to ensure the tour can reach the spot before it closes or enough time to enjoy the food. For example, we only had 5 -10 mins on the fish market on day 1 (we couldn’t really had a good seafood meal there.) and the marine center – dolphins show was missed on day 2.

  Sakura-jima Island is the symbol of Kagoshima. The smoke and steam rises almost every day from the active volcano Minamidake.  Formerly an island, it became connected with the Osumi Peninsula in 1914 when lava from its summit closed the channel between  the two. Sakura-jima Ferry connects Kagoshima-city and Sakurajima in 15 minutes and is operated for 24 hours.
