Typically shochu contains 25% alcohol by volume, which is weaker than whisky or standard-strength vodka but stronger than wine and sake. The shochu of Beniotome Shuzo is distilled from Sesame. Its alcohol content ranges from 13% to 16% and its quality varies according to its fermentation processes. Suginoya was founded in 1870 in Itoshima and Sake, local beer as well as special liquors are producing.
