This is the Model itinerary for making your Customized tour.

 

Exploring the whole of Kyushu from Fukuoka using a private vehicle, and visiting the popular

destinations. 

First visit is Nagasaki where is located north-west side of Kyushu and then go Shimabara 

peninsula and visit gentle Onsen resort Unzen.  Transfer to Kumamoto by a Ferry and Travel 

in Castle town  KumamotoGo down to Southern tip of Kyushu, Ibusuki and Satsuma peninsula 

where is subtropical nature region. Travel the southernmost major city Kagoshima and exploring 

Sakura-jima Island where has active volcano. Transfer to east side of Kyushu facing to Pacific 

Ocean and exploring Nicihnan, Miyazaki and Hyuga. Go to north-east side of Kyushu, and travel

to TakachihoAt the center of Kyushu is Aso where the dynamic nature with world’s largest caldera.

 Day by Day 

 

 Day 1  Welcome to Fukuoka, Nagasaki         

 

Upon arrival at Fukuoka International Airport you will be greeted our representative.

After you will receive the introduction of the tour, your customized tour used a private 

vehicle is started.

You will drive to Nagasaki using Kyushu Expressway to Tosu and

then to Nagasaki using Nagasaki Expressway when you go through a long tunnel of

Nagasaki-Dejima Road, the wonderful view of Nagasaki will be spread out in front of you.

Nagasaki is the city in harmony with foreign countries cultures and has significant Japanese

histories. Visit Ground Zero of Atomic bomb where is the place exploded on Aug. 9, 1945 and

Peace statue that was made to pray World Peace in Peace Park.

Lunch at China town where is one of the big three China town in Japan ; recommended 

dishes are Chanpon and Sara-udon which are local specialities created in Nagasaki.

Walking to Glover Garden through the Glover Street where many souvenir shops are lined

up on the both side of the street. Just before the entrance of Glover Garden, beautiful Oura

Cathedral can be seen which is listed on UNESCO World Heritage and is Japan’s oldest

Gothic-style Cathedral.  Glover Garden is located on Minami-Yamate hill in Nagasaki,

Glover Garden has nine Western style buildings including the Glover’s Residence which is

also listed on UNESCO World Heritage; you can enjoy a beautiful scenery of Nagasaki Port.

Day 2  Shimabara & Unzen                                         

 

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Drive to Isahaya by the use of Nagasaki express way

and then head to Shimabara peninsula through National road by enjoying landscape of

beautiful mountain and calm Ariake Sea. Shimabara is a Castle town located mountain foot

of Unzen. Shimabara Castle was built in 1625. It was an almost rectangular flatland castle

and also it was a superb example of a castle where three layered yagura turrets were placed

at strategic points around the five-layered donjon. 

Lunch in Shimabara to enjoy local cuisine Guzoni, which was created during the Shimabara

Rebellion of 1637.  When Christian were fought under the leader ship of Amakusa Shiro,

they brought various  ingredients such as rice cake, fishes and vegetables, and made a stew.  

After lunch, drive from Shimabara to Unzen enjoying countryside scenery.  At Unzen, Visit

Nita Pass where is one of the best scenic spot in Unzen; you can get panorama view which

encompasses Ariake Sea, Amakusa Island and also Mt. Aso. Another recommended place

is Unzen jigoku where white smoke rising from the ground over a wide area ; this is a

striking reminder that Unzen Volcano is still very much alive.

 Day 3  Kumamoto   

 

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Drive to Shimabara Port, and then go to Kumamoto Port

by a ferry. Drive to Kumamoto where is the third largest city in Kyushu.

Lunch at Sakurano-baba Josaien located at the foot of Kumamoto Castle ; restaurants

offer an opportunity to enjoy Kumamoto’s distinctive food culture, and many shops sell 

Kumamoto souvenirs as well as items found only at Josaien. Visit Kumamoto Castle which is

one of the three great castles and the current castle was built in 1601 by Kiyomasa Kato, 

a great commander and took 7 years to complete.  Recommended Japanese garden is

Suizenji-koen Park where is Imitated the beautiful scenery of Japan, is a refined circular garden

of Momoyama period style and represents the 53 Stations of the Tokaido Road including Mt. Fuji.  

Check in the Hotel in Kumamoto in the center of Kumamoto.

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Drive to Kagoshima using Kyushu Expressway via

Yatsushiro and Hitoyoshi and go to Satsuma peninsula using Ibusuki Skyline road ;

Satsuma peninsula is calm countryside with subtropical atmosphere and extends about

50 kilometers south from Kagoshima.

Lunch at Tosenkyo ravine, enjoy the unique Somen noodle nagashi serving cold Somen 

noodle that swim in the revolving container. 

Visit Ikedako lake where the largest lake in Kyushu and is known as the legendary monster called Issy was live in.  Exploring Nagasaki-bana cape where is the southernmost point of

Satsuma peninsula, and Ryugu Shrine that Urashima Taro legendary shrine.  Enjoy Ibusuki

steaming sand baths along Kinko bay beach.

Day 5  Kagoshima & Sakura-jima Island        

 

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Drive to Kagoshima using National road along the

coast enjoy scenery of Kinko bay. Visit Sengan-en where is the most famous garden in

Kagoshima, made by Shimazu lord in the 19th century at the beautiful bay side Kinko bay.

The garden contains many historic artifacts that tell of its long history.

Lunch at featured restaurant, Ohkatei at Sengan-en, enjoy Satsuma (Kagoshima) local cuisine. 

Transfer to Sakura-jim Island by Sakura-jima Ferry from Kagoshima port to Sakura-jima

port takes 15 minutes.  Exploring Sakura-jima Island where there is active volcano with

three peaks, Kita-dake, Naka-dake and still active Minami-dake ; go around Michino eki

Sakura-jima, Yunohira Observatory , Arimura Lava Observatory and back to Sakara-jima

port, then return Kagoshima by ferry.

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Drive to Miyazaki-prefecture using Kyushu Expressway

from Kagoshima to Kajiki JCT and then Kariya using Higashi-kyushu Expressway

to Shibushi. Exploring Toi Cape where wild horses are living called Misaki-uma that are the 

descendants of army horses left grazing and which became wild 300 years ago. 

Lunch at Mitato-no-eki Meitsu, enjoy seafood cuisine.

Driving Nichinan coast enjoying subtropical scenery and visit Udo Shrine that is  beautiful

and exciting shine in the cave of the cliff side facing the Pacific Ocean ; in legend, a goddess

of sea built a hut to give birth to a great god here.  Exploring Sun Messe Nichinan where

Japan’s own replica of Moai Statues can be seen and enjoy a breath taking panoramic view

of the Pacific Ocean. Driving to north along Nichinan coast and visit Horikiri Pass where is

one of the best scenic spot in Nichinan ; The 60m altitude pass allows you to look down at

beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.

Day 7  Hyuga & Takachiho

 

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Drive to Hyuga using Higashi Kyushu Expressway.

Hyuga  is a bay city facing the Hyuga nada Sea where spectacle art collection of exposed

rocks created by raging wave.  Visit Cruz sea where your wishes come true. Cruz Sea

is an area of ocean that appears to have a cross in it when viewed from an observatory.

After Huga, drive to Takachiho through the mountainous countryside.

Takachiho offers dynamic and beautiful Takachiho Gorge and here is the birthplace of

Japanese mythology. 

Lunch at local restaurant at Takachiho.

Exploring Takachiho Gorge where a narrow chasm cut through the

rock by the Gokase River.  The nearly sheer cliffs lining the gorge a  re made of slow forming

volcanic basalt columns. The most recommended activity at Takachiho Gorge is Takachiho

Gorge boat riding that flows down the base of the gorge on a rental boat. The spot you can see waterfalls and the columnar shaped valley together is rare in the world. 

Visit Amamo Iwato Shrine where  is a birth place of Japanese indigenous religion, Shinto. 

Takachiho is the site of one of the best  known legends of Japanese mythology.

Drive to Aso enjoying mountainous countryside landscape and about in hour dynamic

scenery of Aso caldera can be seen.

Day 8  Aso

 

You will enjoy exploring Aso all the day today. After breakfast, check out the Hotel,

take the Aso Tourist Tram which is a private railroad offering a very scenic ride from

Takamori to Nakamatsu in the south east of the caldera; lovely and magnificent scenery

can be enjoyed on a pleasant 30minute train ride. 

Lunch at local restaurant ; enjoy Aso beef and local cuisine Aso dengaku.

Drive to Aso mountain area using Aso Minami Panorama Line and visit Kusasenri-ga-hama

where the beautiful prairie of 785,000 square meter in the crater, spreads in northern part of

Mount Eboshi that is one of the Aso Five Mountains. If weather condition is allow, you can go to

Mount Naka where is the largest active volcano in Japan, its peak is 1592 m above sea level. 

Drive down to North Aso area using Aso Higashi Panorama Line enjoying beautiful scenery of

Aso mountain area. And through the Central Aso area drive to the Northern part of caldera,

Daikanbo where is one the best photo spot in Aso; you can see the perfect view of the five 

peak of Mount Aso.

Day 9  Yufuin & Beppu

 

After Japanese style breakfast at Ryokan, and check out the accommodation.

Drive to Yufuin through Yamanami Highway enjoying beautiful scenery of Handa Plateau.

Exploring Yufuin where is a beautiful and tranquil Onsen Resort harmonized with nature.

Walking the Yunotshubo Avenue where the avenue is started near JR Yufuin Station and

connected to Kinrinko lake ; there are 70 shops, gift shop, galleries, curiosity item shops

and cafes. 

Lunch at local restaurant at Yunotsubo Avenue.

Visit Yufuin Floral Village where is the amusement facility that recreated the

street of the Cotswolds region in England. Recommended place to explore is Kinrinko lake

where is the landmark in Yufuin. Hot water gushes from the bottom of the lake, and hot steam

rises from its surface on a cold day. After Yufuin, on the way to Beppu, go to the top of

Mount Tsurumi by the use of a ropeway 800 metres up and Soaring 1375 metres into the sky,

and a breathtaking view overlooking Beppu can be enjoyed.

Transfer to Beppu where is one of the most famous Onsen resort in Japan.

Beppu’s most hyped attraction is Beppu Hell tour that is a collection of hot spring, and visit

Umi-jigoku where resemble of sea, this 200 metre deep, cobalt blue pond of boiling water

emerge 1200 years ago after a volcano explosion. Enjoy Foot bath in which people can bath

 their feet, you can easily enjoy it without having to remove all your clothing, only the feet and 

leg up to the knee are immersed.

Day 10  Kitakyushu

 

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Drive to Kitakyushu using Higashi-Kyushu

Expressway via Usa and Nakatsu. Exploring Kitakyushu where is the second largest

city in Kyushu.Visit Kokura Castle which is one of the most famous land marks

in Kitakyushu ; you can feel the scenery of castle town more than 200 years ago,  

Lunch at local restaurant at Kokura. 

Exploring Mojiko Retro where the most enjoyable tourist destination in Kitakyushu and

what we wish to proud is that Dr. Albert Einstein awarded Nobel Prize in Physic visited

Moji in 1922, and he acclaimed that everything could see were ARTS. 

After Mojiko Retro, drive to Higashida where Japan’s modern steel industry was started

as Yawata steel Works in 1901. Visit Higashida No.1 Blast Furnace which is only the

Blast Furnace in the world which preserved as it was. The big signboard at the top of the

Blast Furnace displaying “1901” indicates the year in which the Blast Furnace commenced 

operation. 

Just before sunset, go to top of Mount Sarakura using the Cable car and Slope car in

10minutes. From 622 Metres sea level summit, you can enjoy the most dynamic night

view in the World; about 40km east to west and 10km south to north and also the number

of lighting to create the night view is the largest in the World.

 Day 1  Kumamoto & Ibusuki   

 

Upon arrival at Fukuoka International Airport you will be greeted our representative.

After you will receive the introduction of the tour, your customized tour used a private 

vehicle is started.

You will drive to Kumamoto using Kyushu Expressway via Tosu.

Kumamoto where is the third largest city in Kyushu.

Lunch at Sakurano-baba Josaien located at the foot of Kumamoto Castle ; restaurants

offer an opportunity to enjoy Kumamoto’s distinctive food culture, and many shops sell 

Kumamoto souvenirs as well as items found only at Josaien. Visit Kumamoto Castle which is

one of the three great castles and the current castle was built in 1601 by Kiyomasa Kato, 

a great commander and took 7 years to complete. 

After Komamoto, drive to Kagoshima-prefecture using Kyushu Expressway via Yatsushiro

and Hitoyoshi and go to Ibusuki using Ibusuki Skyline road. 

Ibusuki is a Onsen resort represented Kyushu. Enjoy Ibusuki steaming sand baths along

Kinko bay beach.

Exploring Satsuma peninsula is calm countryside extends about 50 kilometers south 

from Kagoshima. Visit Nagasaki-bana where the cape of the southernmost point of

Satsuma peninsula, and Ryugu Shrine that Urashima Taro legendary shrine.

Ikeda-ko lake where the largest lake in Kyushu and is known as the

legendary monster called Issy was live in.

Lunch at Tosenkyo ravine, enjoy the unique Somen noodle nagashi serving cold Somen 

noodle that swim in the revolving container. 

Exploring Chiran where has Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots, and Samurai Residences

constructed 250 years ago.

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Visit Sengan-en where is the most famous garden in

Kagoshima-prefecture,  made by Shimazu lord in the 19th century at the beautiful bay side

Kinko bay. The garden contains Shoko Shuseikan registered on the UNESCO World Heritage

that the museum of the Classics located here exhibits a various of objects related to the Shimazu

family and the Satsuma domain. 

Lunch at featured restaurant, Ohkatei at Sengan-en, enjoy Satsuma (Kagoshima) local cuisine. 

Transfer to Sakura-jim Island by Sakura-jima Ferry from Kagoshima port to Sakura-jima port

takes 15 minutes. Exploring Salura-jima Island where there is active volcano with three peaks,

Kita-dake, Naka-dake and still active Minami-dake ; go around by chartered vehicle Michino eki

Sakura-jima, Yunohira Observatory , Arimura Lava Observatory.

Drive to Kirishima using via Kokubu .

one of the most beautiful shrine in Kyushu, and is surrounded by forest. 

Drive to Nichinan coast (Pacific Ocean side) using Higashi Kyushu Expressway.

Exploring Toi Cape where wild horses are living called Misaki-uma that are the 

descendants of army horses left grazing and which became wild 300 years ago. 

Driving Nichinan coast enjoying subtropical scenery and visit Udo Shrine that is beautiful

and exciting shine in the cave of the cliff side facing the Pacific Ocean ; in legend, a goddess

of sea built a hut to give birth to a great god here.  Exploring Sun Messe Nichinan where

Japan’s own replica of Moai Statues can be seen and enjoy a breath taking panoramic view

of the Pacific Ocean. Driving to north along Nichinan coast and visit Horikiri Pass where is

one of the best scenic spot in Nichinan ; The 60m altitude pass allows you to look down at

a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Drive to Hyuga using Higashi Kyushu Expressway.

Hyuga is a bay city facing the Hyuga nada Sea where spectacle art collection of exposed

rocks created by raging wave.  Visit Cruz sea where your wishes come true. Cruz Sea

is an area of ocean that appears to have a cross in it when viewed from an observatory.

Exploring Umagase where Exciting scenery created by raging wave of Hyuga Sea. The

coastline here is a ria coastline, marked by intricate waterways sandwiched between cliffs.

After Huga, drive to Takachiho through the mountainous countryside.

Takachiho offers dynamic and beautiful Takachiho Gorge and here is the birthplace of

Japanese mythology. Exploring Takachiho Gorge where a narrow chasm cut through the

rock by the Gokase River.  The nearly sheer cliffs lining the gorge are made of slow forming

volcanic basalt columns. The most recommended activity at Takachiho Gorge is Takachiho

Gorge boat riding that flows down the base of the gorge on a rental boat. The spot you can

see waterfalls and the columnar shaped valley together is rare in the world. 

Visit Amamo Iwato Shrine where  is a birth place of Japanese indigenous religion, Shinto. 

Takachiho is the site of one of the best  known legends of Japanese mythology.

Drive to Aso enjoying mountainous countryside landscape and about in hour dynamic

 Day 6  Aso    

 

You will enjoy exploring Aso all the day today. After breakfast, check out the Hotel,

take the Aso Tourist Tram which is a private railroad offering a very scenic ride from

Takamori to Nakamatsu in the south east of the caldera; lovely and magnificent scenery

can be enjoyed on a pleasant 30minute train ride. 

Lunch at local restaurant ; enjoy Aso beef and local cuisine Aso dengaku.

Drive to Aso mountain area using Aso Minami Panorama Line and visit Kusasenri-ga-hama

where the beautiful prairie of 785,000 square meter in the crater, spreads in northern part of

Mount Eboshi that is one of the Aso Five Mountains. If weather condition is allow, you can go to

Mount Naka where is the largest active volcano in Japan, its peak is 1592 m above sea level. 

Drive down to North Aso area using Aso Higashi Panorama Line enjoying beautiful scenery of

Aso mountain area. And through the Central Aso area drive to the Northern part of caldera,

Daikanbo where is one the best photo spot in Aso; you can see the perfect view of the five 

peak of Mount Aso.

from Kumamoto to Miyama-yanagawa.

Yanagawa is the former castle town has a Japanese traditional townscape where located

in the Chikugo plain and facing to calm Ariake bay. The feature of the town is canal running

all over the town that made more than 3000 years ago to be used for living and agriculture. 

Lunch at local restaurant to enjoy local speciality Eel Cuisine , Yanagawa is the birthplace

of Steamed Eel that has more than 300 years history. There are many restaurants which

have their long history and each  restaurants have been keeping the traditional source and

brand value.

After lunch, the most recommended experience is Canal boat cruise that  to board a small

boat called the Donkobune and slowly go down the river skillfully maneuvered by a boatman

with bamboo pole.  A 30minutes cruise starting Okinohata and go around Ohana and Shotoen

You will drive to Yobuko via Itoshoma where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Genkai

sea. At Yobuko where is a local fishing industry town famous for Squid and Morning Fish Market.

Lunch at local restaurant to enjoy fresh Squid that has a sweetness that melt upon the tongue.

In the finely crafted style of sashimi known as Ikezukuri, the flesh of still-living seafood is served.

Then drive to Imari where is the porcelain town has 400 years history and visit Okawachiyama

After Imari, transfer to Nagasaki using Nagasaki Expressway and when you go through a long

After breakfast, you will visit Ground Zero of Atomic bomb where is the place exploded on

Aug. 9, 1945 and Peace statue that was made to pray World Peace in Peace Park.

Exploring Dejima where was the artificial island used as a Dutch trading port and it was

only open gateway to Europe during Japan’s National isolation of Edo period from 1641

until 1857. At that time, many European technologies and cultures were introduced here

through Dutch. 

Lunch at China town where is one of the big three China town in Japan ; recommended 

dishes are Chanpon and Sara-udon which are local specialities created in Nagasaki.

Walking to Glover Garden through the Glover Street where many souvenir shops are lined

up on the both side of the street. Just before the entrance of Glover Garden, beautiful Oura

Cathedral can be seen which is listed on UNESCO World Heritage and is Japan’s oldest

Gothic-style Cathedral. Glover Garden is located on Minami-Yamate hill in Nagasaki,

Glover Garden has nine Western style buildings including the Glover’s Residence which is

also listed on UNESCO World Heritage; you can enjoy a beautiful scenery of Nagasaki

Port.  Drive to the Mount Inasa Slope car station and then go to top of Mount Inasa using

Slope car. Enjoy the night view from Mount Inasa which is chosen the three Major Night

View in Japan and the three Major Night View in the World along with Hong Kong and

Monaco.

and then head to Shimabara through National road by enjoying landscape of beautiful

mountain and calm Ariake Sea. Shimabara is a Castle town located mountain foot of Unzen.

Shimabara Castle was built in 1625. It was an almost rectangular flatland castle and

also it was a superb example of a castle where three layered yagura turrets were placed at

strategic points around the five-layered donjon. 

Lunch to enjoy local cuisine Guzoni, which was created during the Shimabara Rebellion of

1637.  When Cristian were fought under the leader ship of Amakusa Shiro, they brought

various  ingredients such as rice cake, fishes and vegetables, and made a stew. 

After lunch, drive from Shimabara to Unzen enjoying countryside scenery.  At Unzen, visit

Nita Pass where is one of the best scenic spot in Unzen; you can get panorama view which

 encompasses Ariake Sea, Amakusa Island and also Mt. Aso. Another recommended place

is Unzen jigoku where white smoke rising from the ground over a wide area ; this is a

striking reminder that Unzen Volcano is still very much alive.

Exploring Mojiko Retro where the most enjoyable tourist destination in Kitakyushu and what we

wish to proud is that Dr. Albert Einstein awarded Nobel Prize in Physic visited Moji in 1922, and 

he acclaimed that everything could see were ARTS.

Lunch at Mojiko Retro, recommended local cuisine is Yaki curry ; latterly means baked curry

and is curry with rice topped with cheese and/or egg heated in oven. 

After Mojiko Retro, drive to Higashida where Japan’s modern steel industry was started as

Yawata steel Works in 1901. Visit Higashida No.1 Blast Furnace which is

only the Blast  Furnace in the world which preserved as it was. The big signboard at the top of

the Blast Furnace displaying “1901” indicates the year in which the Blast Furnace commenced

Drive to Kumamoto using Kyushu Expressway and then go to Amakusa where is an archipelago

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. Drive to Kumamoto where is the third largest city in Kyushu.

Lunch at Sakurano-baba Josaien located at the foot of Kumamoto Castle ; restaurants

offer an opportunity to enjoy Kumamoto’s distinctive food culture, and many shops sell 

Kumamoto souvenirs as well as items found only at Josaien. Visit Kumamoto Castle which is

one of the three great castles and the current castle was built in 1601 by Kiyomasa Kato, 

a great commander and took 7 years to complete.  Recommended Japanese garden is

Suizenji-koen Park where is Imitated the beautiful scenery of Japan, is a refined circular garden

of Momoyama period style and represents the 53 Stations of the Tokaido Road including Mt. Fuji.

Day 3  Takachiho 

 

After breakfast, check out the Hotel. drive to Takachiho through the mountainous countryside.

Takachiho offers dynamic and beautiful Takachiho Gorge and here is the birthplace of

Japanese mythology. Exploring Takachiho Gorge where a narrow chasm cut through the

rock by the Gokase River.  The nearly sheer cliffs lining the gorge are made of slow forming

volcanic basalt columns. The most recommended activity at Takachiho Gorge is Takachiho

Gorge boat riding that flows down the base of the gorge on a rental boat. The spot you can

see waterfalls and the columnar shaped valley together is rare in the world. 

Visit Amamo Iwato Shrine where  is a birth place of Japanese indigenous religion, Shinto. 

Takachiho is the site of one of the best  known legends of Japanese mythology.

Drive to Aso enjoying mountainous countryside landscape and about in hour dynamic

Day 4  Aso 

 

After breakfast, check out the Hotel, Exploring Aso, take the Aso Tourist Tram which

is a private railroad offering a very scenic ride from Takamori to Nakamatsu in the

south east of the caldera; lovely and magnificent scenery can be enjoyed on a

pleasant 30minute train ride. Local cuisine Aso dengaku is recommended at the

local restaurant.

Drive to Aso mountain area using Aso Minami Panorama Line and visit Kusasenri-ga-hama

where the beautiful prairie of 785,000 square meter in the crater, spreads in northern part of

Mount Eboshi that is one of the Aso Five Mountains. If weather condition is allow, you can go to

Mount Naka where is the largest active volcano in Japan, its peak is 1592 m above sea level. 

Drive down to North Aso area using Aso Higashi Panorama Line enjoying beautiful scenery of

Aso mountain area. And through the Central Aso area drive to the Northern part of caldera,

Daikanbo where is one the best photo spot in Aso; you can see the perfect view of the five 

peak of Mount Aso.

Visit Kokonoe yume Otsurihashi where the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in

Japan and the 2nd longest in the World Splendid.

Lunch at Japanese local restaurant, Kuju Nonohana no sato in Kokonoe.

Drive to Yufuin through a mountainous countryside area, and exploring Yufuin where

is is a beautiful and tranquil Onsen resort representing Kyushu and is spreading

in the Yufu basin at the mountain foot of Yufu.

Walking the Yunotshubo Avenue where the avenue is started near JR Yufuin Station and

connected to Kinrinko lake ; there are 70 shops, gift shop, galleries, curiosity item shops

and cafes. Visit Yufuin Floral Village where is the amusement facility that recreated the

street of the Cotswolds region in England. Recommended place to explore is Kinrinko lake

where is the landmark in Yufuin. Hot water gushes from the bottom of the lake, and hot steam

rises from its surface on a cold day.

enjoyed; . the 90 vermilion coloured Torii Gates stand on the 300 steps stairs is introduced

Walking Shirakabe-dori Avenue where time-honored scenery, back to 100 years ago.

The avenue of houses with white wall were constructed about 100 years ago.

Dazaifu

After arriving Dazaifu, first what you can see is a large green square where is the Site of

Dazaifu Government Office that about 1300 years ago, there was a government office to

manage the entire Kyushu and was known as the distant court from Kyoto. And a private

vehicle is parked near Nishitetsu Dazaifu station. Walk to Dazaifu tenmangu Shrine through

Shrine approach path where the road leading to the Shrine is lined with many souvenir

shops unique to Japan including Starbucks and Umegae mochi shops.

Visit Dazaifu tenmangu shrine dedicated to the deity of learning. Many Japanese visit the

Shrine to pass the examination successfullyThe shrine is housed in a distinctive building,

with a sweeping roof of thatched bark and lacquered crimson beams dating back to the

seventeenth century.

First in Nagasaki, you will visit Ground Zero of Atomic bomb where is the place exploded

One of the big three China town in Japan, There are about 50 Chinese restaurants

and many Chinese sundries shops in there. Most recommendable cuisines are 

Chanpon and Sara-udon ;  those were originally created in Nagasaki. 

 

 

Glover Garden

Walking to Glover Garden through the Glover Street where many souvenir shops are lined

up on the both side of the street. Just before the entrance of Glover Garden, beautiful Oura

Cathedral can be seen which is listed on UNESCO World Heritage and is Japan’s oldest

Gothic-style Cathedral. Glover Garden is located on Minami-Yamate hill in Nagasaki-city,

Glover Garden has nine Western style buildings including the Glover’s Residence which is

also listed on UNESCO World Heritage; you can enjoy a beautiful scenery of Nagasaki Port.

 

Dejima

The place was the artificial island used as a Dutch trading port and it was only open gateway

to Europe during Japan’s National isolation of Edo period from 1641 until 1857. At that time,

many European technologies and cultures were introduced here through Dutch.

Sakurai Futamigaura

A beautiful sunset scenic spot at Genkai Sea. Located in Genkai Quasi-National Park. The married rock is connected by the large Shimenawa

with 30 metre length and 1 ton weight. Male rock is 11.8 metre high

and Female rock is 11.2 metre height.

Mataichino shio

The salt making plant by the ancient production method. A salt and a

magnesium chloride are produced with Genkai sea water. 

Keya Cave cruise

The most largest basalt cave in Japan consist of octagon and hexagon

columnar joints. The entrance of the cave is 64 metre high and 10 metre

width and the depth is 90 metre. It is designated as one of three major

Basalt caves in Japan.

 

Lunch at Isonoya Featured seafood restaurant, Isonoya. Special

seafood dish used fresh fishes caught in the Genkai Sea can be enjoyed.

Sake brewery, Suginoya

There is the tasting corner, let’s sample sake. Sake is unique Japanese

liquor made by fermenting rice. Suginoya was founded in 1870 in Itoshima

Raizan Sennyo-ji temple

One of the most famous temple in Fukuoka-prefecture known for being a

great place for cherry blossom viewing in spring, and many people visit in

the autumn to see the fall foliage. The temple was founded  thein 725, Nara

period by Seiga, who come from India as a priest during the period.

Hakata Old Town

The first gateway and prospered as the largest trading port in medieval Japan. About a

10-minute walk from Hakata Station, Hakata Old Town is home to many temples and shrines

where you can feel about Fukuoka’s medieval history, traditions and culture.

Wander about Hakata Old Town, first visit Tochoji Temple that was founded in 806 by Kobo-daishi

Kukai and it is the oldest temple of the Shingon sect in Japan.

Next visit is Hakata Machiya Furusatokan ; it is a folk museum depicts the life and culture

of Hakata Fukuoka.  And then Kushida Shrine where one of the most exciting summer

festival in Kyushu,Hakata Gion Yamakasais held in the shrine in July.  Enjoying shopping

at Kawabata-dori Shopping Street where is a Japanese traditional Shopping Street where

you can find a lot of Cool Japan.

Enjoy Hakata Ramen that is a local cuisine in Fukuoka, usually made with white soup

from pork bone and thin noodles. 

   

 

Seaside Momochi

Seaside Momochi is the water-front resort area, only a 15 minute drive from Tenjin in the centre. 

The park is surrounded by Fukuoka Tower and high rise contemporary buildings, all of which help

make a modern urban landscape.

Fukuoka tower that is one of the must visit spots is the 234 metre high Fukuoka Tower. It  is

the highest coastal tower in Japan and is covered with 8000 two way mirrors. The observation
room offers a breath taking and spectacular 360 degree panoramic view of Fukuoka-city and
Hakata Bay.

Fukuoka Castle Ruins

Fukuoka castle, was built in 1601.  Part of stone wall and canal, and the Tamon tower are still

left intact as they were back then. There is also a nice view of the city from the former main

Parts of the castle’s former moats were used to construct nearby Ohori koen Park.

Mount Sarakura

The height of the mountain is 622 meters from sea level. At the top you are presented

with a magnificent and spectacular view of Kitakyushu. ​In 10 minutes, you can reach

the summit from the Cable Car Station using the Cable car and the Slope car. 

Higashida No.1 Blast Furnace

Only the Blast  Furnace in the world which preserved as it was. The birth place where 

Japan’s steel industry began in 1901. It contributed greatly to the development of the 

Japanese steel industry and was used until 1972and has been preserved just as it was.

First Head Office of the Steel Works  / UNESCO World Heritage  

Built in 1899, ahead of production facilities. It is an architectural fusion of Japanese

and European design, a two story red brick building with bilateral  symmetry and a

central dome set in a Japanese tile roof.

 

Kokura Castle

Kitakyushu’s landmark Kokura Castle. Fukuoka–prefecture only in Japan is 

selected by CNN Travel as one of the top 19 places to visit in 2019.  And

the Photo of Kokura Castle is used for introducing Fukuoka-prefecture.

The Castle  located within a walking distance of JR Kokura Station.

 

Mojiko Retro

Dr. Albert Einstein awarded Nobel Prize in Physic visited Moji in 1922, and

he acclaimed that everything could see were Arts. The exotic district of Mojiko

Retro is visited by more  than 2 million tourists a year.

Konamon Pedestrian tunnel

Only the place in the world !   You can cross the strait on foot.  The Kanmon

Strait, separating Honshu and Kyushu, is a very beautiful and busy waterway

with as many as 700 small and large ships a day passing through it. the

Kanmon Pedestrian Tunnel, which enables people to  cross on foot.
